For the moment this is nothing but a list. I'll put up some pages for individual bands soon.
A lot of the content from the Dementlieu Punk Archive's DC section is going to move over here.
If you have bands to add, or information on any of the bands listed, drop me a line.
I stand on the shoulders of giants. Material lifted from Descenes #s 1-2 (Howard's excellent family tree of the DC underground), Infiltrator #s 3-4 (DC Band Directory)?, WDC Period #s 6 and 13 (the band indices), various other zines, the band members themselves, my record collection, and a couple other places I can't remember right now... More to come...
Special thanks to all the band members who've written in to provide me with more info.

- Played several shows under different names (including the Loose Screws, which the promoter mis-head as Loose Shoes) until settling on Black Market Baby. There may have been an early lineup (late 1979 or early 1980) with another drummer, and there was definitely a pre-Donegan lineup with Adrian Ossea--don't know if Dolfi was included or the band were between bassists. Lineup was pretty unstable because, in Boyd's own words, "Someone was always getting pissed off and quitting."
