You And Me / Popular Girl / I Understand You / Kids Today / Easy Now // One More Ring / Why / Claim to Fame / Not Toys / Seconds Waiting black vinyl Wasp Records Sting 4LP, 1983 bootleg CD on an Spanish label Lineup: John Hubbell - drums and vocals / Bill Lasley - guitar and vocals / Jim Garner - bass and vocals Recording Info: Recorded by Steve Carr at Hit and Run. Produced by Hollis Williams. Notes: Yeah, this has the same number as the Pop Maru LP. It came first, though. Reviews: Noisy, anthemic pop with vocal harmonies. Enjoyable, but not the kinda thing I'll listen to very often. Beware the awful fake reggae tune at the end of the A side. |

Reviews: I was pleasantly surprised by this record. Normally when I see a saxophone on the cover, the record turns out to be crappy pop new wave garbage. This is a second-rate Gang of Four knockoff--still pretty crappy, but a noisy departure from what I was expecting. |
